We developed a series of smartphone displays showing short videos created by students, presented as if they were social media posts. Each phone is mounted onto a graphic with a hidden wireless charger, creating the impression that the device is being held in a hand. To complement the installation, we also installed a TV with a motion sensor and holding screen, as well as DMX-controlled lighting to enhance the atmosphere. Animated “text conversations” on some phones added a playful, contemporary layer to the storytelling.
